Municipal Bus Service

7:30am to 5:30pm
The Bastrop Municipal Bus Service offers regular route service connecting neighborhoods with the downtown businesses, the Marketplace, Super Wal-Mart Center, HEB, Colorado Shopping Center, the CARTS bus depot, and school campuses (seasonal).
Routes
The bus travels the five following routes several times each day. All routes arrive and depart from downtown.

- Yellow Route - North Main
- Bus departs downtown at 30 minutes past each hour,
7:30am to 4:30pm. - Serving the neighborhoods north of downtown west of the river.
- Blue Route - North Pecan
- Bus departs downtown at 45 minutes past each hour,
7:45am to 4:45pm. - Serving the neighborhoods north of downtown between Pecan Street and State Highway 95. This route includes all school campuses (except the intermediate school and Emile Elementary and Middle School) and many of Bastrop's finest historic homes.
- Green Route - North Pecan
- Bus departs downtown at the TOP of each hour,
8:00am to 5:00pm. - Serving the neighborhoods south of downtown between the river and State Highway 95 including Emile Elementary, Intermediate and Middle Schools. Major destinations on this route also include HEB, The Settlement and Wal-Mart.
How To Ride
Passengers are picked up at any corner along each route except when the bus is traveling State Highway 71 or 95. When you board the bus tell the driver your destination or use the passenger signal, located above the window in the bus, one block before your stop.
Fares
The fare is 50ยข each time you board the bus. Monthly Passes for School Routes are available from the driver. You may also purchase Multiride Tickets for $10.
School Routes
During the school year routes provide direct service to all campuses each morning and afternoon of every school day. You must call the CARTS office to register your children each year. Seats are limited and reserved on a first-call basis. Payment is required on a monthly basis. Children must be registered to ride the school route. A monthly pass is required.
Route Deviation Service
Bus will deviate from fixed route up to 3/4 mile, upon making an advance reservation. For reservation or information, call 1-800-456-RIDE between 7:00am and 4:00pm weekdays. Reservations should be made by 4:00pm the day before the service is needed. Same-day reservations may be accepted, but must be made 2-hours in advanced. Please be advised that we cannot guarantee fulfillment of same-day requests.
