Drug Free Workplace
CARTS has established a drug and alcohol-free workplace policy, and in accordance with Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) regulatory requirements, successful applicants for safety sensitive positions will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing. Other requirements for safety sensitive positions may require a physical examination, driving record check, criminal background, and employment and work references.
Commercial Driver's License
Some positions with CARTS require a Commercial Driver's License. In order to be considered for the positions, applicants must comply with the Texas Department of Transportation and Federal Regulations for commercial drivers. Some positions require that you submit a copy of your driving record when applying. If this is required, it will be specifically stated in the vacancy announcement.
